Die Strecke durch die Blue Mountains ist dennoch sehr abwechsungsreich und beeindruckend.Fernab des Highways auf der Route von Goulburn nach Oberon.Die ersten 100 km sehen immer noch sehr nach New South Wales aus......hügeliges Weideland so weit das Auge reicht......ab und zu kleine Waldflächen.Auch hier haben Buschfeuer ihre Spuren hinterlassen.Auf halber Strecke ändert sich die Landschaft und man fährt in die Berge......auf teilweise sehr steilen Pisten.Nach weiteren 60 km sieht man am Horizont bereits die Blue Mountains.Auf dem Great Western Highway fährt man über den Victoria Pass auf das Hochplateau.Blick vom Mount Victoria am Tor zur City of Blue Mountains.Im Hauptort Katoomba hat man vom 'Echo Point' einen herrlichen Blick auf die 'Three Sisters'.Ein Foto in der Abendsonne ist hier Pflicht.Am nächsten Morgen auf dem 'Peckmans Plateau'......und am 'Cahills Lookout'.Überall blickt man auf die steilen Felswände, die das Jamison Tal umgeben.Ein eindruckvoller Weg entlang des Kliffs......mit wahnsinnigem Ausblick.Gondeln führen über die tiefen Schluchten.In den Tälern und entlang der Hänge regiert dichter Regenwald.Blick auf das Jamison Tal von 'Cliff View Lookout'.Auch vom 'Sublime Point' ist die Aussicht der Wahnsinn.Die Landschaft fesselt und scheint unendlich......wenn der Blick über das weite Tal Richtung Mount Solitary (halb links) schweift.
