Ankunft am Uluru um 16:45 Uhr.Späßchen mit dem Rock.Etwa zwei Stunden später taucht die tief stehende Sonne den Felsen bereits in ein völlig anderes Licht.Die Umgebeung ist auf Grund heftiger Regenfälle im November außergewöhnlich grün.Posieren mit dem Rock.Weitere 15 Minuten später.19:00 Uhr. Die Sonne steht schon recht tief und lässt die Sträucher und Gräser leuchten.Wilder Besucher.Rote Füße im Wüstensand.19:05 Uhr. Langsam aber sicher füllt sicht der Parkplatz mit Schaulustigen.19:20 Uhr. Die Sonne verschwindet kurzfristig hinter einer Wolke......und taucht den Felsen in ein mystisches Zwielicht.19:34 Uhr. Die Sonne ist fast untergegangen.Jetzt leuchtet der Felsen in grellem Rot.Es mag komisch klingen, aber man kann tatsächlich fühlen, dass man sich hier an einem sehr kraftvollen Ort befindet.Ein letztes Aufleuchten......bevor der Felsen plötzlich grau wird und erstarrt.Am Horizont sieht man nochmal die Silhouette der Kata Tjuta.Am nächsten Morgen sind wir auf dem Base Walk im Uhrzeigersinn einmal um den Rock gewandert.Um 6:11 Uhr geht die Sonne auf.Wir beginnen die Wanderung an der Nordflanke des Felsen.Erste Sonnenstrahlen treffen den Felsen......und lassen die Nordseite in hellem Orange aufleuchten.Nachdem wir um die östlichste Spitze wandern ändern sich Form, Farbe und Struktur des Felsen alle paar Meter. Seht selbst...Mutitjulu Wasserloch an der Südseite der Felsen.Uralte Zeichnungen von Aboriginals......einige sind angeblich mehrere Tausend Jahre alt.Besteigen verboten. Anfassen erlaubt.Ein letztes Erinnerungsfoto.Zurück am Parkplatz. Von hier kann man bei windstillem Wetter auf den Felsen klettern.Auf dem Rückweg nach Alice Springs.
